Statuses

Practising

A practising insured member is entitled to practise.

Restricted Practice

This designates a practising member who is entitled to practise but has restrictions or limits on their practice.

Non-Practising

A non-practising member is registered with the college but has chosen not to practise and therefore is not permitted to practise.

Student

A student is participating in the College Admission program, with the goal of being admitted as a member. Students may be authorized to practise in limited circumstances under supervision of a practising member.

Suspended

Suspended members are not permitted to practise. Members may be suspended for administrative reasons such as failing to pay their fees or file forms on time.

Conditions

If there are any conditions on a member’s practice, they will be listed here. E.g., Supervised practice.

Disciplinary Action

If there is any disciplinary action it will be listed here for 10 years.

What this service includes:

Name, status, and admission date of members of the College. Members who have discontinued the practice of nursing but have chosen to obtain a non-practicing membership are also included.

What this service does not include:

Information for former members of the College.

It is each member’s responsibility to ensure their information is accurate. Members can update their information through the profile update located on the member portal.

This service is provided to members and the public to verify the status of individual professionals. The information is not to be used for any commercial, marketing, or fundraising purposes.
